Hello Neighbours,
We hope you enjoyed the beautiful fall season here at Coral Springs. As we now move into winter, we wanted to share a few friendly reminders to help keep everyone safe and informed.
Lake Temporarily Closed – Preparing for Winter Activities
The lake is now officially closed while we wait for the ice to reach safe thickness levels.
We know everyone is excited for winter favourites like skating and hockey. Our team will be monitoring ice conditions closely, and once it is safe, we will announce the opening of designated areas.
For now, please: Keep children and pets away from the ice
The pathways will not be cleared until it is safe to use the lake for winter activities.
Follow posted signage around the community. Thank you for helping us ensure a safe start to the season.
Winter Wildlife Awareness
As migration patterns shift, residents may notice more bird activity around the lake.
On rare occasions, wildlife may appear distressed on or near the ice. While our team monitors the area, staff cannot enter unsafe conditions. If you observe an animal in distress, please contact:
Alberta Fish & Wildlife — 1-877-944-0313
We kindly ask residents not to approach or attempt to assist wildlife.
